Week of March 14th

Welcome back from the Windy Weekend....
Here is your update for the Week:

ELA: Our research (Articles & Videos) is now complete...So this week we will be finding "Categories" for the Research we want to use.  Next, all students need to chose a side they would like to argue.  Topic: Iditarod-Animal Cruelty or Just a Race?  Lastly, Socratic Seminars need to take place.  Then the writing begins...formal outline first, then Google Classroom 5 Paragraph Essay will begin. (This is both their rough draft and Final Copy)

*Start Checking their Progress online if you would like Starting Thursday-Ending Tuesday!

Soc. Studies:  Egypt
This week we will continue with "The Afterlife"
We started with mummies but now we are way into it! We studied the book of the dead, so now we will start designing our own Tombs on Paper.
After that students will be able to use their i-phones to recreate their tombs on Minecraft--take a screen shot and print we finished and then connect it to the Rigor Piece.

Thanks for Checking in...
